User Experience Design

Before: Static page lacking user model
1.1 click image to enlarge

After: New look & feel with user model
1.2 click image to enlarge

This is my new case study, designing an inteface (MLS Listing) for real estate site using simple, intuitive and systematic approach.

I recommend that you look at the before(image 1.1) and after (image 1.2) to see the modification.

Role:

1. I provided a visual design solution that enhanced the user experience by creating a layout where user can easily navigate the house listing. Thumbnails at the left side of screen and the info at the right side. The thumbnail gets highlighted in red so you know exactly what house you are looking at.

2. Viewing Schedule section

Before, my client does a lot of phone calls to her client, a phone tag as she coined it with the prospect home buyers. It cost her atleast $200/mo in phone bills calling clients to schedule their house viewing. I suggested for her to make a specific viewing time. Her clients can go online and look at the schedule and book, It saves both of them time and phone call charges.

3. Making an offer button

A typical procedure of making an offer is to meet with the client and spend atleast an hour or two signing and discussing the amount they want to offer. Now by clicking this button (a pop-up window will appear, the user will enter their name, phone number, email address).

The real estate agent will receive this notice via email and will call the client to confirm and gather data. Then the agent will fax/email the Residential Purchase Agreement to the client for them to sign and fax it back. This way, the home buyer doesn't have to take off from work to meet with the agent or drive to the agent's office.

4. Email listing button - the listing will be emailed to the client or forward to person concerned.

5. Banner Ad -a section for banner ad to promote their in-house financing.

6. Print version of MLS listing

Flash Game Development

I am a Flash Inteface Designer creating timeline animation and basic programming. I always want to increase my knowledge, and I find developing flash games is a great training in learning ActionScript. I just created a shooting game and enjoyed every step and phase. I added a blog to show my projects in video game development. Go to Flash Game Programming.
